Babancong Garut

On March 2nd 1811 balubur Limbangan regency was wiped out by governor general Herman W.Daendels ( Dutch Colonial ). it's regent Tumengkung Wangsakusumah II was honourable resigned. Balubur Limbangan regency comprised 6 sub-district : Balubur , Malangbong , Wanaraja , Wanakerta , CIbereum , Papandak

On February 16th 1813, new Limbangan regency was founded by Lieutenant Governor Thomas S.Rafless which now become Garut Regency . RAA. Adiwijaya was the first regent of garut who governed from 1813 until 1831

Geographically , garut regenct lies at the part of southern earth, belonging to West java province region where it's border are the follow :

• Eastern Side : Tasikmalaya Regency
• Western Side : Cianjur and Bandung Regencies
• Northern Side : Sumedang Regency
• Southern Side : Indonesian Ocean

This area include valley territory surrounded by mountain with the average height of 700-750 meter above sea level , and has a tropical climate with the average temperature 24 degress celcius

the thypology of land fertility is various because of being influenced by mountain river steam and coastal lowland territories , with the mentioned condition potency of garut regency territory i dominated by agricultural bussinesses especially plantation , food plant

the potencies of tourist resort in garut regency , not only coastal panorama and it's sea but also crater , waterfall , lake , hotspring natural supported by fresh and cool air are much enjoyed by local tourist or foreign 

well , it's reasonable enough if garut regency had a nickname " swiss of van java " in the dutch colonial periode, and people who given us name is "charlie chaplin"
